Students will learn the key building blocks essential in the establishment of a sound doctor-patient relationship and communicating effectively in the community. Students will also propose the outline of management plans for the care of patients with common surgical conditions. This course is multi-disciplinary and considers how doctors and health have been presented through history in images, poetry and literature; and also how arts such as writing and music can be used as therapies in health care.
